The customer requested a log holder to fit the scale of their new massive fireplace. We fabricated this new log holder out of 1.5" solid square bar. It is made to hold 4 foot long logs. The picture with the small log holder is a standard store bought holder.

Made in conjunction with another fabrication shop, these galvanized steel ventilation hoods were installed for a laundry facility.

This mailbox post was constructed out of galvanized steel.  House numbers were added to the top of each mailbox, and the basket was added on for either packages or flowers.  Can be made for any number of mailboxes.

These pictures show the installation of the second floor of a three story wine cellar.  It was installed in an old ice house.  Once the customer finished construction on the second and third floors, we were brought back to install the custom staircase.

These rope chairs are supported by a 2 inch pipe frame. Every piece of the frame is rolled to a determined radius the main arm has 3 separate radii. At the customers request we painted it a festive yellow.

A custom table featuring scroll work and painted with tnemec paint.  Each piece of each leg was hand made.

These kettles, made from retired propane tanks, can be used for garden decorations, grills. and even fire pits. The two on the far right were made for Mount Vernon, Arlington, Virginia, to serve as warming stations for visitors.


Custom raised outdoor planter. Fabricated and rolled by Rick's Custom Welding, Inc., it is A588 steel which is meant to rust to give it a rich rust tone without ever having to worry about finishing. It is fastened to concrete footers. Designed by Monroe and Crocker, PC.

This picture shows one of two stainless steel chimney caps fabricated out of 3/8 inch stainless steel plate and stainless steel expanded metal. On top we bolted pre-fabricated copper chimney pots for decoration and installed them on 2 chimneys with the help of Forbush Steel & Crane Inc. The contractor is Ilex Construction, Inc..

Custom made coffee table. The base was made from 3/4 square bar, all hand formed with 2 cast collars. The top was made by Ben Clemmer of Ark Woodworking.

This customer contacted us to add stainless steel accents to her existing copper range hood. All the fabrication was done on site, and installed with stainless steel screws.

This iron bed was made as a Christmas present for Rick's wife.  The four posts are square, mounted on their apex with a basket weave design inside.  It was finished with a hammer black paint.

Decorative bird cage, for indoor or out outdoor use, was designed and built for Rick's mom as a Christmas gift. The vines and birds are hand painted.

Other custom projects we have completed, a picture frame, trellis, and music stand.

Made for The Inn at Little Washington, this custom 9 foot long arched rack was made to hold silver pastry trays. The main frame is hand formed steel, machine hammered, detailed with floral etchings and has hand riveted joints. The hooks were made in 2 different lengths that were hand hammered and twisted. The rack and hooks were powder coated satin black.

We fabricated this dining room table base out of 3 inch square tubing and powder coated it black with 6 swivel adjustable feet. The table was designed by Bonstra Haresign Architects. The table top was added later by a local mill wright.

This catwalk and ladder were built for an indoor manure loading dock for a horse facility in Huntly, Virginia. Made of steel and hot dipped galvanized for finishing.
